Re: Carroll
carroll wont be leaving unless its on a pay per play deal. no one will take a risk on him now

see austin is banging them in for QPR although he's told them he'll stay the season.

I dont think we need to do anything in Jan tbf.

Re: Carroll
Bilic's favoured formation has been what he's picked every game?

Otherwise why would he play it?

We've done just fine with the results.

The way we've played for the majority of time hasn't helped the full backs, that's why Cresswell hasn't shown the form of last season either.

I think that's different with the way we played on Saturday, it gives more protection and Jenkinson hasn't become a bad player overnight.

Playing Bilic's favoured formation which has been the majority of games, results haven't been great.

Re: Carroll
Bryam is out of contract next summer, decent english full back, been around for years and still only 21/22 or something

Re: Carroll
Croe I disagree we need a right back badly
Tomkins has done well but he will get exposed and he massively limits is going forward
The gaffer clearly doesn't rate jenkinson and I make him right
Even if it was somebody on loan

"we've not got a lot of people we can cash in on in January."

Well we have plenty, it's just we wouldn't want to cash in on them.

One Macca is right, we have no need to do any business in January.

So it was Carroll's fault Zarate fluffed a brilliant chance at Old Trafford for example, Moses missed a great chance at Old Trafford or Zarate didn't play Carroll in with a simple ball at Old Trafford or that the Stoke keeper was MOTM, is that because he had fuck all to do?

Only really stupid people would blame a single player but then if the cap fits I guess.....

Cover at LB can be Lewis Page

Re: Carroll
Happy with the squad and agree that selling Collins, even J O'B would only benefit rivals, not worth the meagre transfer fees.

Need to buy a right back of course at some point but not necessarily January.

Cover at left back also if Stephen Hendrie is not trusted with Cresswell's rest, though some may balk at that decision.

Re: Carroll
Spot on I-ron

Theres more value in keeping them as squad players

If those 3 go the money it takes to replace would probably cost more then the revenue received

One McAvennieeeeee 1:45 Wed Dec 16
Re: Carroll
I don't think we need to do anything in January to be fair.

It's a poxy time to buy players in general and once we have our players back we'll be just fine.

Should be a deec second half of the season.

i-Ron 1:42 Wed Dec 16
Re: Carroll
Jarvis is on a year loan, so unless they cancel the agreement we can't do anything with him.

Collins is out of contract next summer and free to talk to clubs abroad in a couple of weeks. He'd be worth next to nothing.

JOB, same as above.

Carroll, does anything think a club will come in with a big offer and match his 90k a week wages?

Unless we sell a player in the first team for big money like Cresswell maybe, we've not got a lot of people we can cash in on in January.

In a dross slow paced league. Put him in the premiership he'd bang goals in for fun as he did at young boys and CSKA.

Yep. I do. His movement off the ball is the reason players like lanzini and zarate arent getting shots away from inside the area. Sackhos work rate above all else puts him as our first choice. Carroll just doesn't move like him, albeit i thought Carroll had decent game against Stoke.

Re: Carroll
Sell Carroll, Jarvis, Collins and JoB and get in a utility player at the back and then Seydou Doumbia. It'll be a matter of time before a Everton, Spurs or even Arsenal snap this bloke up. Pace, power and goals.
